The magic of rose water

Have you tried to make your life a bed of roses?

The title seems to be indifferent to you? Don't think so much dear let me tell you the magic of rose and rose water then you will surely tell me ahh yes something magical is there in my words and thinking.

It's after all my applied knowledge and trial which I have carried on rose water and seen a drastic change in my day-to-day life.

Life is hectic ..it is also full of noise and pollution ..then what one can do in order to soothe and have a short sweet nap but what about your precious eyes. Are they ithching?? is your head paining oh god a hell lot of problems ..But you don't worry just follow the sweet rosy guidelines and you will really say me hey now my life is a bed of roses.

Follow these simple things:-

  1. All of us know what roses are and from where to buy real roses. If not you can surely browse the net and find out. These are sold at leading flourists shops and even small retailers dealing in flower business sell the same.
  2. Rose has healing and cooling powers so in order to get benefits from the same one must prepare or else buy rose water.
  3. Now the question is from where to buy rose water? - You must be very careful when purchasing rose water to buy only the 100% pure form. Often what is available in pharmacies and even some natural food stores is synthetic rose oil and water with preservatives added. Pure rose water is the distilled water of roses. It is usually made by stream distillation, and it smells heavenly and tastes delicious. The best place which I know is haldhigathi where roses are grown and all rose products are sold . You can even buy online if you want.
  4. If you want to prepare rose water what all you must do? the method of preparing rose water is as listed below:-

Rose Water -Preparation Method :-

This recipe is the more traditional way to prepare rose water. Though it's a little more involved, its fun to do and the results are outstanding. You can make a quart of excellent-quality rose water in about 40 minutes. However, if you simmer the water too long, you will continue to produce distilled water but the rose essence will become diluted. Your rose water will smell more like plain distilled water, rather than the heavenly scent of roses.

Be sure you have a brick and heat-safe stainless steel or glass quart bowl ready before you begin.

Ingredients:

2-3 quarts fresh roses or rose petals

water

ice cubes or crushed ice

Method:

1. In the center of a large pot (the speckled blue canning pots are ideal) with an inverted lid (a rounded lid), place a fireplace brick. On top of the brick place the bowl. Put the roses in the pot; add enough flowers to reach the top of the brick. Pour in just enough water to cover the roses. The water should be just above the top of the brick.

2. Place the lid upside down on the pot. Turn on the stove and bring the water to a rolling boil, then lower heat to a slow steady simmer. As soon as the water begins to boil, toss two or three trays of ice cubes (or a bag of ice) on top of the lid.

3. You've now created a home still! As the water boils the steam rises, hits the top of the cold lid, and condenses. As it condenses it flows to the center of the lid and drops into the bowl. Every twenty minutes, quickly lift the lid and take out a tablespoon or two of the rose water. It's time to stop when you have between a pint and a quart of water that smells and tastes strongly like roses.

** I have still more to write about magic of rose water and it's usages...

Pamper yourself with natural things

Personal care and hygiene

Bored with everyday bath soaps? Don't worry at all here is a conventional and healthy way out pick up nature's own caring products for your body and pamper yourself and feel fresh.

I have tried the following and found a great change in myself..

Orange Bath

Yeah!! It's a natural way to care yourself. Just do the following and you will see results just wonderful.

  1. Take a small/medium size orange fruit and side by side keep ready hot/lukewarm water for your bath.
  2. Peel off the orange and add those peels in the hot water, make small pieces of those peels if as per your choice.
  3. Sweet fragrance of orange will make you feel fresh and ready for a orange bath.
  4. aha! Now you must be wondering what about those oranges yeah now just squeeze in those oranges in a small container with your hand and keep aside the scrap.
  5. Use that orange juice for your face and you will find a difference in your face which will flow and look fresh as you wanted.
  6. Don't throw away the otange peels use them as bath scrub while you apply soap to your body. It is one of the best scrub which I felt. It really works!!
  7. Orange is best for those who have oily skin so you oily skinned people just see what a best and economical substitute you have rather than buying those creams and face packs and what not.
  8. The same process I tried and you may also go ahead and try the same.

Special Tip for the next time:- Use large juicy lemon instead of orange next time and have a lemony fresh look on your face.
